3 hours of installation, 2 hours of driver updating and my PC had Vista ready to roll…like Ludacris just pimped out my operating system.
6 hours and 2 crashes later, I’m wondering where I put my warranty. Apparently Windows Vista
has some bugs to work out, but that isn’t stopping Microsoft from releasing Halo 2 (for PC) as a Vista exclusive.
Already, fans are taking a hard blow as Bungie has con-firmed that Xbox players will not be able to play with or against players on a PC. This is contrary to what Bill Gates said at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show. Bill Gates, lie? Certainly not to sell some soft-ware…
Now, with the release coming up in May, Halo 2 fans are going to find it hard to play a game on a FREQUENTLY failing operating system.
The cult that Microsoft has built around the Halo franchise may be appealing to any frat boy with an Xbox 360, but to true FPS players and all PC owners this is a sucker punch to the kidneys.
This whole “Vista Exclusive” thing is going to get worse before it gets better.

I’d rather rock the Wii. You can play old school Mario on that.
One of the many failures that you can expect these initial months. There is not a whole slew of drivers out there, and many of them are still in the beta stages. Add this to the fact that many games have in fact tested out SLOWER on Vista than XP, behind-the-curve support from anti-virus companies, many users will be SOL. I’m happier with my beefed up XP, and I’ll wait a few months for all the bugs to be worked out before I use it as my main system. Of course, that doesn’t mean I won’t install it anyway
You’re on my blog roll now, BTW, and great design. I can recognize the CutLine theme anywhere.
i may rock rock the Wii as well…but i stick to PS3! and some pc games! halo should just stay on xbox…cuz thats all the 360 is worth
Microsoft should be hyping Halo 3, not worrying about Halo 2. That game has had it’s glory, now let it die. Halo 3 has a chance to be the best game, dare I say….ever.
